The arrangement is intended for packing bobbins (B) of textile yarn into boxes (17). It comprises a conveyor (15) to move the bobbins to the packing station and a parallel conveyor (16) to move empty boxes to, and full boxes away from the station. - A gripper unit (24) picks up (44,45) a row of two or more bobbins, lifts these, moves across (on 14) and lowers the bobbins into a box. A further gripper unit (25) lifts (67) a cardboard plate (19) from a supply (18) on the other side of the conveyor (16), moves across (on 14), and places a cardboard plate (19) on each layer of bobbins in the box except on the uppermost layer.FL(2/5)
