The fibres for reinforcing a mouldable aterial, e.g. concrete extend through the matrix of the material and are attached at each end to mountings which have tansverse dimensions greater than the diameter of the fibres. - The fibres are made out of steel and have different shapes according to the reinforcement equired. The mountings are in one piece, and can have shapes following a volume of revolution, with a specified curvature.
