The invention relates to a device by means of which heavy furniture, kitchen units, cupboard units and other heavy objects can be moved without a considerable expenditure of force. By lifting an object, balls (4), in accordance with the drawing, are pressed onto the floor. The lift is locked. The balls are easy to move by upper contact on ball-bearings. The respective ball is integrated in a piston which slides in a cylinder (3). With hydraulic contact, the piston is moved downwards manually or electrically within the cylinder by means of pump actuation (2). When the lock is released, the lifted object's own weight forces the hydraulic oil back into the reservoir container (1) and the object rests securely on the floor.
