The starting aid consists of a mat with high resistance to tearing which is characterised in that it is covered on both sides with a number of U-shaped supports. These serve as a support surface for the drive wheels of motor vehicles when starting on snow, ice, marshy ground and sand and improves the grip of the tyres in comparison with conventional possibilities in that it sinks, on the one hand, into the tread of the tyre and, on the other hand, into the unstable ground below it.
