PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a digital coder, by adding current having the same weight as a reference current value inputted to comparators, to the input side of all the comparators located at the lower order from the output side of a comparator to the output of which a bit is set. CONSTITUTION:Resistance values for resistors R1-Rn are selected so that the weight of 1,2,-2<n-1> is applied to each input current of comparators. An input voltage is inputted to analog comparators 1Q-nQ in parallel through a resistor R0. The analog input voltage is converted into a current at the resistor R0 and compared with a reference current value. When an output terminal of the high- order bit goes to ''H'', a current with a weight comparable to the weight of the upper-order bit is added to the input side of all the analog comparaters having the low-order bit than the bit. |
