PURPOSE:To permit the performance of a high-speed recording with a good heat respondence by a method in which a coating liquid containing mainly a pigment having a high oil absorption property and a coating liquid containing a coloring agent and a developer as main components are dropped in a lapping manner to form a free dropping curtain, and the free dropping curtain is collided against a supporter. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid containing a white or light color pigment having an oil absorption of 75ml/100g, specified by JIS-K 5101, and a coating liquid containing as main components an electron donative colorless dye and an electron attractive compound are dropped in a lapping mammer to form a free dropping curtain, and the free dropping curtain is collided against a supporter in such a way that the heat-sensitive recording layer containing the electron donative colorless dye and the electron attractive compound is coated as the upper layer on the supporter. Thus, a heat-sensitive recording sheet having good repondence to very short heat pulse and capable of giving sufficient color concentrations by small heat energy can be obtained. |
