PURPOSE:To inhibit a floppy disk cartridge from being loaded in a direction other than a specific direction, and to prevent erroneous loading, by forming a groove having a channel shaped section, which is opened at its one end part and closed at the other, at at least one side surface part. CONSTITUTION:While upper and lower plates 2a and 2b containing a magnetic sheet 1 are coupled, steps 14 and 14b provided at both side edge parts respectively face each other to form long grooves 14 having a channel shaped section at both the side surface parts of the cartridge. One end of each long groove 14 is opened and the other end is closed; when the cartridge is inserted into the guide member of a driving device from the open end sides of the long grooves 14, the long grooves 14 guide the cartridge to secure the loading, but it can not be inserted in the opposite direction, thereby preventing erroneous loading into the driving device. |
