PURPOSE:To connect solar cells mutually, simply and positively without soldering by a method wherein each electrode of the solar cells is also mounted to the side surface of a substrate, juxtaposing a plurality of the cells, disposing metallic pieces having elasticity among the electrodes of the side surface and clamping the metallic pieces by a frame. CONSTITUTION:A solar cell is formed by successively laminating a transparent electrode 2, thin-film semiconductor 3 and an electrode 4 onto a glass substrate 1, but the electrodes 2, 4 are extended up to the opposite side surfaces of the substrate 1 and the electrodes 2a, 4a are shaped at that time. A plurality of the solar cells such as four ones are arranged, and the cells 10-1-10-4 formed in this manner are surrounded by the frame 11 for an insulator module. In this constitution, two cells are paired, and the electrodes 4a of the cells 10-1, 10-2 and the electrodes 2a of other cells 10-3, 10-4 are mutually opposed and disposed. Corrugated metallic pieces 12-1-12-4, which have elasticity and are made of phosphor bronze, are positioned and arranged among the electrodes 2a, 4a, and clamped by the frame 11 to push the metallic pieces, and connected in series- parallel while being excellently contacted. |
