PURPOSE:To carry out two or more stages in the assembly process highly efficiently with minimized time loss by arranging two or more working units effectively to the moving direction of the traveling table. CONSTITUTION:A pair of conveyors 9, 10 to transport carriers 1 in the same direction are installed parallelly, adjacent to each other, and an assembly center 11 is arranged along the outside of the conveyor 10. The center 11 is furnished with a column 24 for mounting the working unit having the channel-shaped profile installed on the base 23 and with working unit fixing plates 25, 26 installed upright at the interior side surfaces 24a, 24b. The plates 25, 26 are fitted with working units 29, 30 selectively with possibility of replacement, and a working head reciprocating vertically is installed at the bottoms of these units 29, 30. A traveling table 31 moving in the X and Y directions is arranged at the upper part of the base 23. |
