PURPOSE:To obtain a high-density colored image, by incorporating a water-insoluble amine compound in a heat-sensitive color-forming layer. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive material comprising a heat-sensitive color- forming layer, which mainly consists of normally colorless or light-colored leuco dyestuff and an acid material which reacts with the leuco dyestuff by heating to develop color, provided on a surface of a support such as paper or synthetic resin film, 0.1-2pts.wt., ased on 100pts.wt. said leuco dyestuff, of a water-insoluble amine compound is incorporated in the color-forming layer. Primary amines such as lauryl amine or cetyl amine secondary amines such as distearylamine, and tertiary amines such as dimethylstearylamin are used as the amine compound. Especially, when a 12-14C higher aliphatic secondary or tertiary amine is used, the color-forming layer is reduced in coloring of a ground, and a good colored image is obtained. |
