<p>PURPOSE:To store music in quantities, and to perform program search at a high speed, by dividing a wide magnetic tape into numbers of signal tracks widthwise, and recording respective program searching signals lengthwise. CONSTITUTION:With regard to the program searching mechanism 6 of a tape deck part 5 which consists of a mechanism 2 for driving a magnetic tape 1 which is two inches wide and a mechanism 4 for moving a magnetic head 3, the signals of a selection switch group7 are inputted to a control circuit 9 through an arithmetic ciruit 8 to move the tape driving mechanism 2 and magnetic head moving mechanism 4 by prescribed extents. The moving mechanism 4 is provided with a bracket, united with the head 3, at right angles to a running direction, and a pulse motor moves the head 3 in the width direction of the tape. In the length direction of the tape 1, program searching signals are formed, and small holes (nine) are perforated at a no-signal part and detected by a phototransistor.</p> |
