Producing granules of compressible explosive composition obtained from a powder material comprising at least an explosive powder, comprises: coating the powder material with a liquid or pasty inert binder in a mixer; hardening the coating by radiation polymerization or bombardment, preferably by ultraviolet radiation, where the step of coating is followed by polymerizing step in which mixture is carried out under a first radiation source for the polymerization of the binder; granulating the mixture; and steaming the mixture in which polymerization step is completed in second radiation source. An independent claim is included for a compressible explosive material comprising the granules of an explosive composition.
