PURPOSE:To measure weir height accurately without breakage by the effect of a change in water levels by providing a reflector in a flexible film weir and detecting the top and bottom of said reflector optically. CONSTITUTION:A rubber weir 1 is connected with air supply and release systems, and a rubber weir 1 is erected or luffed. White rubber 9 contg. fluorescent paint of the constant width is extended from the superposed parts 4 of the weir 1 to the inside surface adjacent to a top half part end 3 by directing the longidudinal direction of the weir 1. Many reflection type beam switches 13 of which the angles of inclinations vary each slighly in the longitudinal direction of the weir 1 are disposed to a moisture removal core 11 of a river bed concrete 5, and in accordance with the degrees of expansion of the weir 1, the rays irradiated from the many switches 13 and reflected by said white rubber 9 are detected, whereby the weir height is converted and measured. |
