Protective shell for crops which is used to accommodate field crops near the ground, such as strawberries, lettuce, beans and the like in the growing period and is produced from two annular halves. The latter consist of a material which does not have a high degree of flexibility, such as plastic or rubber, and can be fitted together, after laying around the plant stock, via push-button-type connections and can be removed again in a similarly simple manner.
