PURPOSE:To prevent the danger that a finger is hurt by being caught by an original placing table, by providing a moving speed detector to the original placing table, and stopping the original placing table when its moving speed decreases below a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:An original placing table 12 is driven by a driving clutch 14 engaging a rack gear 13, and its speed is detected by a speed detection plate 15 on the reverse surface of the table 12 and the speed detector 16 of a main body 11. The detecting table 15 has black and white areas alternately; and light from the detector 16 is projected and its reflected light is photodetected to obtain a detection output which synchronizes with the pattern. This output is used and when the charging time of the capacitor of a prescribed circuit decreases below a prescribed value, the clutch 14 is turned off the stop the original placing table 12; and a driving motor is powered up continuously to discharge recording paper. Consequently, the danger that fingers are hurt by being caught by the original placing table is prevented. |
