Bimetallic shutting flap

In a bimetallic shutting flap comprising a flowthrough housing, a support spoke running transversely through the flowthrough housing, and, arranged on this support spoke, bimetallic shutting elements which, observed in the longitudinal direction of the spoke, have an S-line shape with a turning point lying approximately on the spoke axis and, when heated, can be deflected with the effect of approximating the S-line shape to the inflectional tangent, it is proposed that there are arranged on adjacently lying longitudinal sections of the support spoke at least two pairings of bimetallic shutting elements which, observed in the longitudinal direction of the support spoke, have an opposite S-line shape, and that there are arranged, in the parting plane of consecutive pairings perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the spoke, webs which at least partially cover the areas spanned by branches, lying in each case on one spoke side, of the opposite S-line shapes.
