The invention relates to a solar collector for heating liquids, in particular swimming pool water, or a heat exchanger element, consisting of at least one absorber plate of cavity construction with tubular chambers or ducts which are parallel to one another and separated from one another by webs and which on their open end sides are connected to collecting pipes for connection to a forward-run or return-run line. The collecting pipes are divided into longitudinal sections, each longitudinal section forming a connector which is designed as a structural unit with hollow connector pins. These connector pins are arranged parallel to one another in a comb-like manner and adapted in their cross-sectional shape to the chambers for liquidtight engagement in the tubular chambers.
