PURPOSE:To improve the positioning accuracy of a driven item by a method wherein, when the driven item reaches a stop position, the excitation change is stopped at the specified exciting phase of the pulsemotor. CONSTITUTION:A clock signal is processed by the microprocessor and the programable counter built in ROM constituting the pulsemotor control circuit 1 in compliance with the initial signal or restore command when the power is supplied. Said clock signals output the exscitation changing signals (b)-(e) to be provided for the pulsemotor 3 through the intermediary of the driving current 2. On the other hand, the pulsemotor control circuit 1 monitors the carriage detecting signal (f) output from the carriage position detecting element 4. When the driven item is detected to reach the stop position by means of the carriage position detecting element 4, the pulsemotor control circuit 1 stops the exscitation change at the specified exciting phase of the pulsemotor 3. |
