PURPOSE:To elongate the life of a starter motor and to perform the test readily in a short time, by operating a fuel pump for a specified time period before the start of the starter motor, and opening injector valves. CONSTITUTION:When switch 51 is turned ON, a current flows through a relay coil 50, a contact point 53 is turned ON, and the fuel pump 40 starts operation. At the same time, since contact point 54 is turned ON, a control unit 10 opens injectors. A contact point 55 is turned OFF, gasoline is supplied to cylinders, and air is extracted from fuel pipe. After a preset time of a timer 60 has elapsed, a contact point 61 is turned OFF, conduction of the coil 50 is stopped, the contact points 52-54 are turned ON, the contact point 55 is turned ON, the fuel pump 40 is stopped, and the injectors are once stopped, and the operating condition of the engine with the electronic fuel injection device becomes ready. Then a starter switch is turned ON, and the starter motor is operated. At this time the relay 41 is turned ON, the fuel 40 is operated again, and the engine is immediately rotated. |
