PURPOSE:To provide a thermal head capable of reducing power applied to a resistor formed by baking a conductor formed on an unbaked insulating substrate with the substrate to oxidize the center thereof. CONSTITUTION:A conductive paste is used to form a conductor pattern 22 on a green sheet made of an insulating material and the green sheet and the conductor pattern are baked in the reducing atmosphere to make an insulative substrate 10 and a conductor 22. Then, with an oxidation preventing film 21 formed at both ends thereof 22, the conductor 22 is baked in the oxidizing atmosphere so that the center thereof 22 is oxidized to form a resistor 30. Thus, both ends of the conductor 22 are combined to act as a pair of electrodes 20. |
