The detachable fixing is for a partial dental prosthesis to the crown of a tooth adjacent to the partial prosthesis. The prosthesis (2) has a slot (6) which fits over a projection from the crown (3). This projection has a rectangular hole which receives a locking bolt (7) of matching cross-section. This bolt (7) fits in a horizontal slot in the prosthesis (2) and its inner end is so shaped that it grips a pin (15) which passes vertically through the horizontal slot. A vertical groove (10) in the bolt (7) enables it to be gripped when it has to be withdrawn in order to remove the prosthesis. USE - Dental prosthesis.
