PURPOSE:To provide a superiorly endurable and stable image by binding cadmium sulfide with acrylic resin having 15-70 deg.C glass transition point, 10-40 acid value and >=10,000 number-average mol.wt. to form a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer having 5-100mum thickness is formed on a substrate such as a metallic plate of stainless steel, copper or aluminum, paper or a sheet by binding cadmium sulfide with acrylic resin having 15-70 deg.C glass transition point, 10-40 acid value and >=10,000 number-average mol.wt. Thus, an electrophotographic receptor is manufactured. The preferred binder content of the photoconductive layer is 0.5-50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. photoconductor in general, yet in accordance with the grain size, the grain size distribution, etc. of cadmium sulfide, a suitable condition is selected. An insulating layer of polyethylene or other resin having 0.1-100mum thickness may be formed on the photoconductive layer. |
