MATRIX-BONDED PERMANENT MAGNET HAVING HIGHLY ALIGNED MAGNETIC PARTICLES

摘要

Matrix-bonded permanent magnet is comprised of (a)60 vol. % magnetically hard, anisotropic particles with an alignment of >=90%, (b) a binder consisting of a hot melt polyamide resin which is essentially amorphous and has a ball-and-ring softening temp. of >=50oC and (c) a processing additive consisting of a cyclic nitrile deriv. of a stad. fatty acid dimer which makes up to 1-35 wt.% of the total binder. The process can be used for commercial scale prodn. of highly filled matrix-bonded permanent magnets with a particle alignment of >= 90%. The magnets can be produced consistently by injection molding the compsn. with appl. of a magnetic field.
