Control for compressed air installation - has electro-valve to exhaust air when set pressure is exceeded

The compressed air installation consists of a compressor (1) supplying a receiver (2) through a discharge main (3). The main is fitted with a non-return valve (4) and an electrically operated bypass valve (7) leading to an exhaust silencer (9). When the set pressure in the receiver is attained the contactor (5) closes and de-energises the electrovalves (7) which opens and bypasses the air to theexhaust. The non-return valve (4) ensure no loss of pressure from the receive. Normal drop in pressure due to draw off of compressed air initiates the closing of the electrovalve.
