ELEVATOR CONTROL ADAPTOR FOR HANDICAPPED USERS

An apparatus for adapting the primary control button in an elevator control panel for use by handicapped people who are not able to normally reach the buttons. Apparatus includes an auxiliary control panel which mounts a plurality of auxiliary buttons. A first link arm connects each of the auxiliary buttons to one end of a pivot rod. A second link arm connects the other end of the pivot rod to a false primary button located immediately in front of the primary buttons. The primary buttons can be actuated either by pushing inwardly on the false primary buttons or by pushing inwardly on the auxiliary buttons and causing rotation of the pivot rods.
