PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency, speed and sureness of an automatic folding and wrapping machine for socks or the like, by using a suction member to suck support paper on a storage member to transfer the paper to a rotary member to take out the paper and then dropping the support paper just vertically onto a conveyance plate by a feed member. CONSTITUTION:In a support paper feeder provided at a work station III, when a distance (f) is detected by a distance sensor 48, support paper P stacked on a storage unit 30 including a storage box 35 is elevated by a motor 44 and a push-up plate 41 and kept in a prescribed position. When the uppermost support paper P is sucked by a suction member 50, this member is swung counterclockwise by a cylinder 55 and transferred to a rotary member 60. The paper P transferred onto the rotary member 60 is guided by the send-out plate 71 of a support paper feed member 70 so that the paper is received by open/close plates 72, 73. The plates 72, 73 are then opened by a cylinder 82 to drop the support paper P on the central part of sock cloth on conveyance plate 16. According to this constitution, wrapping is rendered efficient, rapid and sure. |
