PURPOSE:To provide a displacement meter capable of detecting displacement continuously that is small in size and light in weight and of long life by rotating a light reflecting body by means of change in the length of an arm and changing the effective light reflection area. CONSTITUTION:The detection section is connected to a light emitting body 1 that consists of LED, etc., a light receiving element 2 that consists of photo- transistor, etc., a light receiving element 3 for output, and an arm 5 to the other end of which a float 6 is attached, and the detection section consists of a light reflecting body 4 that displaces according to the displacement of an object to be tested. The light reflecting body 4 rotates by DELTAQ by the displacement DELTAh of a liquid 9. At this time the output of the light receiving element 2 does not change and it is controlled by the displacement of the light receiving element 3. Then the quantity of light emission of the light emitting body is controlled to a constant value and the position of the object to be tested is detected by the output of the light receiving element 3. |
