PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning effect, by cooling the 1st cleaning member in contact with a recording medium with a cooling means and controlling the surface temperature of the 2nd cleaning member heated within a specified temperature range. CONSTITUTION:The circumference of the 1st cleaning member 3 always contacting and turning on the surface of a recording medium 1 is formed with a viscoelastic substance, and the 2nd cleaning member 4 always in contact with the surface is provided with a heater H to control the temperature within a specific temperature range. The recording medium 1 is cleaned with the cleaning member 3, which is cleaned with the member 4 and it is cleaned with a blade 5. Further, the cooling means 7 of the member 3 is provided. Cooling is performed before the member 3 recontacts with the recording medium 1, allowing to prevent the heating of the recording medium 1 for efficient cleaning. |
