PURPOSE:To detect immediately erroneous back side loading of a disc, by operating a display when the disc is loaded by turning the back side over, through the logical product of an output signal of two sensors which detect the presence/absence of the disc and the front/back side. CONSTITUTION:On a moving stand moving between a loading position and a reproduction position with a disc to be mounted, if no disc is loaded, an output of a disc presence/absence detecting sensor 3 goes to low level, an output of an NAND gate 5 goes to high level and no light emitting diode 6 illuminates. If the disc is loaded on the stand 2 by turning the back side over in error, the output of the sensor 3 goes to high level and an output of a front/back discriminating sensor 4 goes to high level, and the output of the NAND gate 5 goes to low level, the light emitting diode 6 illuminates for the display of turning back side over. When the disc is remounted correctly, the diode 6 is distinguished. |
