PURPOSE:To prevent damages on the surface of the photosensitive body, by installing a pad which pressure-contacts with the surface of a photosensitive body having a shape of endless belt and made of an elastic material to the surface of a sleeve roller and by running the above mentioned photosensitive body between a multipolar magnet roller and the pad. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 27 is installed in a rotation-free sleeve roller 28 in such a way that a multipolarized magnet roller 29 rotates in the direction shown by an arrow C which is opposite to the moving direction of a photosensitive body 4 having a shape of endless belt. Moreover, at the back of the said photosensitive body 4 facing to the sleeve roller 28 of this cleaning device 27, a pad 32 composed of an elastic body is installed in such a way that the surface of the said photosensitive body 4 is lightly touched with the surface of the sleeve roller 28. When such a constitution is applied, cleaning can be performed sufficiently without giving any scratches to the surface of the photosensitive body even when the dimensional accuracy is lowered. |
