A thermal storage stove is described, which consists of a storage part and of a fan part, the fan part constituting the foot-side closure of the thermal storage stove. Arranged in the fan part, in addition to a blower, are elements guiding the air flow, which also comprise a pivoting flap, with the aid of which the air flow can proportionally be supplied to a fresh-air duct or the hot-air duct accommodated in the storage core. Also formed in the fan part is an air suction opening for the fresh air and an air outlet opening for the heating air, the air suction opening being formed, according to the invention, over the entire height of the rear wall of the fan part and the air outlet opening over the entire height of the front side of the fan part. Moreover, the fresh-air flow is guided through a region of low duct height inside the storage part, from which it can expand into a large front volume. This large volume is available for reducing the air flow speed, as the fresh air required by the blower is no longer drawn in via the front side as in known constructions. As a result of the design of such a large volume, it then becomes possible to achieve lower blow-out temperatures than is the case in the known constructions. Advantageously, a baffle plate and a swirl-forming plate are arranged in the region below the outlet opening of the hot-air duct, which bring about a good mixing or swirling of the fresh-air flow with the hot-air flow. This additionally supports the aim of obtaining low blow-out temperatures, even with fully heated storage core, without too great a constructional outlay.
