The cage is made from a welded metal trellis rolled into tubular shape, the trellis network (1) defining the regular diamond shape mesh (M), the largest diagonal (D) of which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (A) of the reinforcement. The opposite angles (alpha) joined by this diagonal have an equal value of between 20 and 100 degrees and the network is completed by parallel inlaid bars (B). The network is made from two sheets of parallel metal wire (N1,N2), the wires being equally inclined but in inverse fashion and the sheets are connected at crossing points (P) to form the diamond shapes.
