PURPOSE:To enable the automatic and sure carrying of a rodlike food material such as a burdock piece in a posture intersecting the conveying direction at right angles on a platy piece such as fish meat conveyed with a conveyor for receiving a material. CONSTITUTION:The objective feeder is obtained by forming through-holes 5 for suction elongating in the belt width direction in an endless conveying belt 4 of a conveyor 1 for conveying a material at a constant pitch in the conveying direction, installing a suction part (S) for sucking and attracting a burdock piece (M) located on the through-holes 5 through the sucking through-holes 5 in a region extending from the other side of an upper horizontal conveying part (4a) of the conveying belt 4 to a revolving conveying part (4c) continuous thereto on the conveying belt 4 and regulating plates 7, located before the starting end position (A) of the suction part (S) above the upper horizontal conveying part (4a) of the conveying belt 4, brought into contact with the front side of the burdock piece (M) conveyed on the conveying belt 4 to restrain the burdock piece (M) and thereby constructed so as to regulate the position thereof in the direction at right angles from the conveying direction and evacuate to a noncontact position simultaneously with the location of the through-holes 5 for sucking just under the burdock piece (M) at the regulated position. |
