<p>PURPOSE:To achieve the space filtering of a two-dimensional image by mixing past output picture elements, which adjoin diagonally to a picture element to be processed, without addition, and then feeding the mixture back. CONSTITUTION:A delay signal VD from a horizontal delay line lags an output picture signal by 1H-1 and is supplied to a register 26, a comparator 28, and a 2-to-1 selection multiplexer 29. The registers 26 and 27 are cascaded, and the register 27 outputs the picture signal, delayed by 1H+2, to one input of the comparator 28 and the other input of the multiplexer 29. At the part composed of the comparator 28 and multiplexer 29, two input picture signals are mixed without addition. In this case, the comparator 28 performs level comparison between the 1H-1 delay signal and 1H+1 delay signal and selects data of the multiplexer 29 according to the comparison result. Namely, one delay signal having a higher signal level is supplied invariably as a new delay picture signal VD' to an adder 22.</p> |
