PURPOSE:To maintain specific resistance value in the processing solution up to more than the deterimed value, in such a way that copper bicarbonate which is produced in the processing solution during processing and soluble in water, is prevented from its nascency, by means of adding copper hydroxide powder into the processing solution. CONSTITUTION:When a steel work is processed in copper electrodes, iron, copper metal and oxide processed powder is produced, and the processed powder is reacted with water in the processing solution resulting in producing iron ion Fe<2+> and copper ion Cu<2+>. Besides, during processing, carbonic acid gas is produced in the processing solution under heat generated by electric discharge, carbonic acid gas is reacted with water resulting in producing carbonic acid, and then carbonic acid is reacted with each ion of Fe<2+> and Cu<2+> in the processing solution resulting in producing bicarbonates which are soluble in water, such as Cu(HCO2)2 and Fe(HCO2)2. However, hereat, when copper hydroxide particle Cu(OH)2 is added in the processing solution during electric descharge processing, it triggers to produce basic copper carbonate CuCO2.Cu(OH)2 which is hardly dissolved, by which specific resistance value in the processing solution can be maintained up to more than the determined value. |
