PURPOSE: To prevent the increase in fastening of a clamp by forming an ear protruding outward on one end of a band and a hook capable of hooking behind the ear on the other end, and providing a part constituted with the ear on the surface of the ear so as to be brought into contact with the inner surface of the hook to stop it. CONSTITUTION: In the manufacture of a clamp, the bent part 2b is projected from the inside by use of a die, prior to the formation of an ear 2 consistinng of two bent parts 2a, 2b, to form a boss part 5. The shape and dimension of the boss part 5 constituting the ear 2 is determined so that the front surface 5a of the boss part 5 is located near the inner surface 3b of a hook 3 when the end part 3a of the hook 3 hooks behind the ear 2. Accordingly, the movement of the hook 3 to the direction of the ear 2 in fastening and hooking is limited by the inner surface 3b of the hook 3 touching the stopper part formed of the boss part 5, so that an operator never takes the risk of fastening the clamp exceeding the fastening imparted by a maker. |
