PURPOSE:To enhance productivity of a cast iron pipe and to conserve energy of an annealing furnace by providing a sand discharge conveyor to the floor surface in the annealing furnace corresponding to the receiving port of the cast iron pipe to eliminate a sand shaking out before annealing. CONSTITUTION:In conveying a cast iron pipe 15 from the inlet toward the outlet in an annealing furnace 11, core sand shaken out onto the floor surface is conveyed out toward the inlet side by a sand discharge conveyor 17. Because the sand conveying-out direction of the conveyor 17 is set to the inlet side of the furnace 11, a major part of core sand shaken out at the inlet side of the furnace 11 is conveniently scraped out. In addition, because the conveying-out part is closed by the core sand, the invasion of the air into the furnace 11 is blocked as well as effect for preventing dissipation of heat is obtd. |
