PURPOSE:To provide a plate-like displayer, which can realize a color picture with a high quality by carrying out a high-speed scanning. CONSTITUTION:Ribbon-like control electrodes 16 are independently arranged, along the vertical axis (Y) of a plate-lie displayer, on an insulating supporting plate 15 so as to form a plate-like Y-electrode. On the other hand, ribbon-like control electrodes 18 are independently arranged, along the horizontal axis (X), so as to form a plate-like X-electrode. The electrodes 16 of the Y-electrode are arranged in groups each of which consists of electrodes 16 of three different colors (R, G and B) and which are placed apart from each other. Each electrode 16 of the Y-electrode is provided with elliptical holes 16a the longer diameter of which corresponds to the vertical axis (Y), and holes 15a, 17a and 19a provided on insulating supporting plates 15, 17 and 19 are made to have a rectangular shape slightly larger than a surface including three holes 16a of adjacent three electrodes 16. Holes 18a are provide in the electrodes 18 of the X-electrode in the same manner as above. By the means mentioned above, since the current form becoms apart from the walls of the holes of the electrode and the insulating supporting plate, any change in the regulation of the electron current can be prevented. Consequently, a plate-like displayer used for a color TV displayer of extremely high performance can be obtained. |
