PURPOSE: To facilitate the prevention of the occurrence of a fault or deteriorated image quality and checking of characteristics and an adjustment value on a production line by providing an information provision means inputting performance of the image forming device, image processing condition, development condition and plural items representing various parameter secular changes to be added to a specific pattern. CONSTITUTION: A system controller 14 checks an input signal from an operation section to allow the operator to discriminate whether or not the operator desires addition of information to a specific pattern (trace pattern), and when the operator does not desire the addition of information to the trace pattern, it is reported to a controller 15. The controller 15 commands print of a usual trace pattern to a writer of a printer 13 when the operator does not desire addition of the trace pattern to add the trace pattern to digital image signals C, M, Y, K from an image processing unit 12 thereby adding the resulting pattern to a copy. When the operator desires the addition of the trace pattern, the system controller 14 gives selected information to the controller 15 to add the trace pattern including the information desired by the operator to a copy. |
