PURPOSE:To obtain a composite forming a stable partition wall easily for the separation of blood serum or blood plasma by centrifugation, by forming the composite having specific gravity in a specified range and consisting of a mixture of a thixotropic agent, viscous liquid material and a water insoluble amine compound. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized powder of silica, alumina etc. is used for a thixotropic agent and a composite made by viscous liquid material (acrylic resin oligomer, maleic acid modified material of polybutadiene etc.) having a strong mutual action with said agent or the viscous liquid material (liquid paraffin, liquid polybutane etc.) not having the strong mutual action with said agent or a mixture of both viscous liquid material and a mixture of said material and >=8 carbon number water insoluble amine (dodecylamine etc.) and also, having 1.03- 1.08 specific gravity, is used for a blood plasma separation agent. When said mixture is added to the sample blood and is centrifuged after the blood is coagulated, a partition wall is formed in the middle of blood serum and blood clot and the blood serum is separated and is sampled easily without crumbling the partition wall at the time of taking out the blood serum by inclining spits. Also, the composite is stable without aging. |
