<p>PURPOSE:To prevent middle waviness in the final shape by a simple method by performing middle waviness and shape control rolling with the respective variable crown rolls of the front stand and rear stand including the final stand of tandem stand mills. CONSTITUTION:Variable crown rolls are disposed to respectively >=1 stands of the front stand and rear stand including the final stand of tandem stand mills. For example, the rolls 1 and 2 shown by the oblique lines in the figure are variable crown rolls. In the front stand provided with the rolls 1, middle waviness rolling is executed, and in the rear stand provided with the rolls 2, shape control rolling is executed. The edge drop of the strip is improved by this during rolling, and the middle waviness is prevented by product shapes.</p> |
