A liquid or gas can be transported through the material, typically from the side exposed to the sunlight to the opposite one, where there is a closed chamber. From this the liquid etc. is transported to the point of use. There can be a thin sheet of translucent material in front of the plate, to protect it from wind and rain, and the medium used can be evenly distributed inside the collector by means of apertures or a slot.</p> |
