PURPOSE:To decrease the quantity of flexture of edge of a circular saw, by enabling to cut a material into round slice by a circular saw of small size, by cutting deep by the saw into a cylindrical material in the static state, and by driving the material to rotate, after the material is cut through. CONSTITUTION:A cutter head 14 is moved forward by a shifter 15, after the edge 13 of a circular saw is drived to be rotated by a cutter head 14, and the edge 13 of a circular saw is fed to cut a cylindrical material 10 that is in the static state, being held by a chuck 11, toward the center part of the material 10. When the tip of an edge 13 of circular saw has pierced the thickness of the material 10, the feed of an edge 13 into the material 10 is stopped. In this state, the material 10 is driven to be rotated by a material-driving unit 12, and the remaining thickness of the cylindrical material 10 is cut, during rotating, by the mutual rotating movement of the material 10 and the edge 13 of circular saw. In such a manner, a workpiece in the shape of a ring, of predetermined size and thickness, is cut off from the material 10. |
