PURPOSE:To improve isolation by providing other PIN diodes between an earthed point and one end of the arm formed by connecting PIN diodes in series, then putting the both in inverting operation. CONSTITUTION:When a DC bias is applied between an input terminal 1 and an output terminal 2 in such a way that PIN diodes 4 turn on, PIN diodes 3 turn off. Consequently, this switch circuit is a signal-off switch. Since the diodes 4 show low resistance, terminal resistances 6 perform matching between the input and output terminals. Further, signals are absorbed by the terminal resistances, so a coupling phenomenon jumping over the PIN diodes 3 is eliminated, improving the isolation. |
