PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a phenomenon of largely varying a tracking error signal from a pregroove and an information signal from a prepit due to an applying condition of dyestuff and to enable high productivity and cost reduction by layering a metallic reflecting layer, a recording layer containing the dyestuff and a protective layer in turn on a substrate having a guide groove for the purpose of tracking a laser beam. SOLUTION: The reflecting layer 11, the recording layer 12 containing the dyestuff and the protective layer 13 are layered on the substrate 10 formed previously with prepits and pregrooves. This medium is irradiated with the laser beam from the side of the protective layer (or adhesion layer + substrate) 13 to carry out recording/reproducing. That is, a regenerative signal and the tracking error signal can be indepenently of form of the dyestuff provided on the reflecting layer 11, in other words, a buried state and the form of the dyestuff in the prepits and pregrooves provided with the reflecting layer 11. The productivity can thus be enhanced without detriment to the easiness of film formation in a spin coating method. |
