A lift arrangement, preferably for mounting on motor vehicles carrying cargo and/or people. The arrangement is designed to make it possible to avoid blocking of entry openings in the vehicle when the lift arrangement is in the position of rest. Furthermore, when required it shall be possible for the lift platform 20 of the arrangement to serve as an extra running board or intermediate board for the vehicle. The structure includes a supporting element 10 with fastening element 22 for mounting at first underneath the particular vehicle. A lift unit 12 is hinged to the support element and to a holder 18 carrying the load platform. At least one controllable cylinder unit 14 actuating the lift unit is hinged between the supporting element 10 and the lift unit 12. A parallel guide element 16 for the holder 18 carrying the load platform, in which the load platform 20 can slide, is hinged to the supporting element 10 and to the holder 18 carrying the load platform.
