PURPOSE:To protect the surface of a photosensitive drum by covering the drum with an attachable/detachable and flexible sheet. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical protection sheet 1 of which inner diameter is slightly larger than the outer diameter of a photosensitive drum for an electrostatic copying machine is made of a flexible material such as polyester. At the time of attachment/detachment of the photosensitive element to/from the copying machine, the periphery of the photosensitive drum is completely covered with the sheet to attach/detach the drum to/from the copying machine, so that the surface of the drum is protected. It may be adopted to wind the sheet around the drum and seal the joint. If projection parts 2c are fitted to the end surface of the drum as a knob, it is convenient for pulling out the drum. In addition, since the sheet is flexible, it can be folded up and put in an accommodation case. |
