Competent insertion of screws for joining structural elements such as wooden boards at a right angle is easier to carry out with the arrangement. The arrangement has a screw-orientating clamp as well as a screw-insertion member. The clamp consists of a rigid U-member with two arm parts as well as a connecting part. A clamp is guided through one arm of the U-member and can be adjusted towards or away from the other arm in such a way that it can be releasably fastened to the structural elements to be joined. At least one screw-orientating member and an interacting hole are provided on the U-member so that a screw can be orientated perpendicularly for inserting into the components to be joined. The screw-insertion member is made in such a way that it comes into engagement with the screw-orientating member and inserts a screw into the components to be joined. <IMAGE>
