Precision-engineering components, e.g. dials, have to be lubricated at various points which are subjected to mechanical loading. Lubrication is carried out, in the case of the prior art of the production apparatuses, by pressing devices, drip-feed lubricators or wick oilers or by dipping complete parts into a solution of the oil or a suspension. According to the invention, the lubricants are applied in a film-like manner by means of spraying on once or a number of times using a printing mechanism, known per se, of an ink-jet printer which can move in the x-direction and y-direction and, if required, also in the z-direction.
