Rotary drum filter having an essentially horizontal axis of rotation, a filter grid which surrounds the entire periphery of the drum and having a channel for introducing, through a lateral opening of the drum into the interior of the same, the liquid/solid mixture to be filtered, a conveyor screw and a conveyor channel arranged beneath being provided for discharging the filter residue from the lateral opening of the drum. The axis of the conveyor screw is inclined to the axis of rotation of the rotary drum filter and the screw spiral is constructed as a belt lying tightly against the wall of the conveyor channel, which belt is attached by ridges to the screw spiral. |
